  This has always been an unsung venue of Hull, with some world class artwork. After a subtle makeover and refurbishment, this space is back open and doing its bit to elevate local artists as well as heavyweight names from a variety of artistic movements. There is a great atmosphere in the gallery. This is a great place for young children's first 'hands on' encounter with art, with several areas for creating their own masterpieces. Excellent Wheelchair and Pram access. On-site cafe which serves lunches and a good gift shop.

  If you like art of any era this gallery has lots to see and quality too. Not big - don't think national gallery! - but still special and worth at least an hour
